Learn the Code with Mike Holt
WHY APPRENTICES KEEP TURNING TO HIS VIDEOS, GUIDES, AND NO‑NONSENSE TEACHING STYLE
I came across Mike Holt during my own research, but honestly, I didn’t think much of his paid courses at first. That changed when the General Foreman I work for vouched for him. He said Holt was a major reason he passed the Westchester County licensing exam, which is known for being a tough test on both electrical code and business accounting.
So I tuned into Mike Holt’s YouTube channel and immediately felt like I was watching Ned Flanders come to life from The Simpson’s — same friendly country twang, same upbeat energy, and a kind of religious zeal for the National Electrical Code.
And somehow, it works.
Who Mike Holt Is
Mike Holt is one of the most recognized electrical educators in the industry. He’s an author, businessman, speaker, and National Electrical Code expert who has spent over 50 years training electricians, writing code guides, and producing educational material.
He’s built one of the largest electrical training companies in the U.S., offering books, videos, online courses, and exam prep used by apprentices, journeymen, instructors, and engineering programs. His graphics, explanations, and teaching style are widely respected — and apparently effective enough to help seasoned electricians pass some of the hardest licensing exams in the country.
